Introduction to Diary Data X-tractor

This utility can split your current diary entries into separate records that can be imported in a separate form.

You will have to export your diary-data and the parent request-id into an ARX-file, and preferrably compress it into a ZIP-file.

When you have uploaded the ARX/ZIP-file, the data is parsed and a resulting ARX/ZIP-file is created and supplied to you by the chosen method.

Note that all uploaded and resulting data is immediately deleted after the process has been completed!

You can put any extra fields from the parent form that you want into the ARX-file, they will be put on each record of the resulting ARX-file. An exeption to this is the original Modified By/Date and Created By/Date.

A powerful feature is the possibility to extract new fields based on data in the diary-field.
I.e. if you have automatically tracked assignements with a text such as "Ticket assigned to Bob Backline", you can supply the matching string "Ticket assigned to", and "Bob Backline" will be put in a separate field for this diary-record like 'Assignment Changed To'.

When doing pattern matching, you are also able to extract the previous assignement and put this in a separate field, i.e. 'Assignment Changed From'.

The only data you need to supply for a simple extraction is the ARX/ZIP-file.
